The Last Word 臨別一語
When: after a flavour-intense meal, or a few drinks ;)
味道既濃郁又清新的餐後雞尾酒。
Using less maraschino liqueur than traditional recipes because I find the woodsy, herbaceous notes in Luxadro overpowering.
Ingredients 材料
5-10 ml Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur 意大利白櫻桃甜酒
20 ml Green Chartruese 法國綠蕁麻酒
Lemon peel 檸檬皮
Garnish 裝飾
Herbs and/or edible flowers 香草,食用花
Tools 工具
Glassware 酒杯
Steps 步驟
❶ Chill the glass and prepare lemon peel & garnish.
將酒杯雪凍,預備檸檬皮及裝飾。
❷ In a shaker add all ingredients, except lemon peel. Taste & adjust sweet/sour.
於搖酒器加入所有材料,檸檬皮除外。試味,較對甜酸。
❸ Fill shaker with ice & shake vigorously for about 12-15 seconds.
搖酒器加滿冰,搖約12-15秒。
❹ Strain with a fine strainer into the chilled glass.
用隔冰器隔冰倒入酒杯。
❺ Twist lemon peel to express oil into the drink. Discard the peel.
檸檬皮於杯上輕壓噴上檸油香氣後棄掉。
❻ Garnish and serve. Enjoy! 放上裝飾,完成!拉下有教學片喔!
Despite its disarming jade hue, The Last Word is a bit of a wild ride on the taste buds.
It's tangy and bright, with loads of herbaceous notes from gin, Green Chartreuse liqueur and maraschino liqueur. Original recipe used lime juice only but I think lemon adds a refreshing brightness to the drink.
As a boozy, pungent and citrus forward cocktail, I find it wonderful as a palate-cleanser after a flavour-intense meal, and satisfying as my last cocktail after a few!
